Weekend with ups and downs for Autorlando – Sport, at Vallelunga circuit for the 5th round of the Italian GT, with the two 911 GT3 R driven by Camathias-Calamia and Romani-Deodati.

The Swiss team stared with interesting lap times, unfortunately in qualifying, because of the traffic on the track, marked 8th position in Q1 and 11th in Q2.
A very hard Race1. Calamia leads the white and blue Porsche in the first part of the race with a good pace, despite the initial contact with Biagi’s Porsche. While Safety Car was on the track, all teams decided to make the drivers’ change, and Camathias took control to complete the race, finishing in 9th place.
Sunday, a very difficult Race2. Starting from the 11th place, Camathias with a good pace, leaving the wheel to Calamia, who 2 minutes remaining ended the race into the barriers due to contamination found in output curve.

The other crew, Romani-Deodati, in free practices on Friday, took more and more confidence with the car and the home track, in order to do well in the two subsequent qualifications, determining the starting grid. 20th place in Race1 and 17th in Race2, respectable positions considering the experience of the other crews in the race.
In Race1 Deodati starts a perfect race and Romani conclude in 3rd position for Pirelli Cup, with 997 prepared by Orlando Redolfi. In Race2, the order of the drivers is reversed and the result changes a little, with the podium of the special Pirelli Cup missed by a whisper. A very positive weekend for the roman duo that grew ever stronger the feeling with the powerful Porsche of Autorlando-Sport.
