The Gruppo Peroni championship arrives at Mugello combined with Endurance 3h, where Autorlando-Sport Team takes part with four cars. Maurizio Fondi and Luciano Tarabini with the GT3 R in the Coppa Italia, which sees also the debut of GT4 with Dario Cerati in the GT4 class. The Bossini trio, brothers Paolo and Matteo with his father Giacomo in the endurance race with the other GT3 R.
In the endurance race, after the good free practice, the Bossini bring their “R” in sixth place on the grid, behind only the prototypes and class pole, Paolo as usual is the fastest of the three with a good 1’50 “786.
Matteo with a good start passes the prototypes and in the first lap is in second position. The race will be long, but unfortunately already the twelfth lap the car backs to the pits complaining of an engine problem that forced to the retire; disappointment for the riders and the team staff for nuanced opportunity to do well and earn important points in the standings. The next appointment for the Bossini family will be at Vallelunga at the classic 6 hours for the end of season.
Domain of GT3 R of Autorlando in the qualifying of Coppa Italia with Tarabini in pole position, Fondi in third place and Cerati in ninth place overall and first in GT4 class.
Race 1 on Sunday morning, Tarabini stars very well and dominates the race until the end. Fondi gains the second position on Valli but from two laps until the end the BMW driver, with also a contact but without damages, overtakes the Autorlando sport driver. Cerati makes a good race maintaining the position and the first place in class GT4.
Race 2 in the afternoon, the starting grid is the same of Race 1 so Tarabini in pole position, Fondi in third position and Cerati in ninth position. The race is a photocopy of the first, Tarabini that cannot be caught from the start to the end, Fondi in third position and for Cerati a good seventh place overall and first in class GT4.
Now Fondi is already in second position with 40 points only 9 points behind Valli and Tarabini is in 7° position with 22 point.
Next round for Coppa Italia will be at Imola on 09/10/2016
