Press release 11/2022                   01/06/2022

The Italian GT Championship is an appointment that the Autorlando team has traditionally never missed.

The cars will once again be those seen at the first race in Monza, namely the brand new Porsche Cayman RS GT4, driven by the expert Cerati-Fondi crew, and the high-performance Porsche 911 GT3 CUP, with the Macripo’-Pichler crew at the wheel. The strong Trentino rider Giuseppe Ghezzi unfortunately had to give up being present on the Romagna circuit for personal reasons.

Therefore, the very young driver Antonio Macripo ‘, born in 2001, will take over from Ghezzi, in his first experience in racing with Gran Turismo cars. Antonio, who usually drives Formula cars, has already carried out a test with the Bergamo team, proving that he can compete with GT cars.

The team’s goal is to do even better than what it did in the first race in Monza, where got 3 podiums with the 2 cars

Recall that the Porsche Cayman RS GT4 is in second place in the championship standings. The Porsche GT3 Cup is also in second place and just 3 points behind the AM category leader.

The race program is the classic and well-established one of the championship, which includes 2 free practice sessions on Friday, qualifying on Saturday morning, and races starting on Saturday afternoon, with race 1 at 18:50. Race 2 is scheduled to start on Sunday afternoon at 3:20 pm.
