To open the racing June of the Autorlando-Sport will be the Classic Endurance Racing of PETER AUTO that makes a stop at DIGIONE for the “Grand Prix de l’Age d’Or”. A track that the most veteran will remember for the famous duel between Arnoux-Villeneuve in the 1979 F1 GP, which saw the two turn on one of the most beautiful duels in history valid for second place since the victory went to Jabouille, on Renault which signed the first victory for the French car house and for a supercharged engine in the F1 history.
Second in the overall classification in CER II, the Fratti-Cabianca crew will try with the Porsche 934 Jagermeister # 53 turbocharger to snatch a victory and take points from their direct opponents and Lotus ESPRIT which is currently first in the standings. The SPA weekend was a little troubled but the guys in the team were able to straighten it out and the work done in the workshop has definitively averted the recurrence of the same; now the week-end will be in FULL-ATTACK mode.
After a rather rainy May the sun should characterize the whole weekend which includes the three practice and race sessions between Saturday and Sunday. Saturday morning free practice (45 ’) will be held at 09.00 and qualifying will start at 4.15 pm (45’). Afternoon race then on Sunday with the start scheduled for 16.00 in the afternoon and with the usual 1h format with driver change in the middle.
