Expectations were high for the Autorlando Sport team on the Ardennes circuit. A complicate start of the weekend for Maurizio Fratti and his 996 RSR, who struggled to find the right feeling with the track. The team worked a lot to put the Tuscan driver in a position to push hard.
A fourth place in qualifying 1 and a second in qualifying 2 do not satisfy the team and the driver, aware that they can aim high.
Unlucky Race 1 for Fratti who was forced to make a mistake in overtaking a lapped and finished fifth in his category.
The desire for redemption in race 2 was at the highest levels. After a good start Fratti puts himself in the lead of the class so as not to let go until the end of the race. An impressive pace even leads him to lap the runner-up, demonstrating his and the car’s enormous potential.
The weekend therefore closed flawlessly for the Autorlando Sport team, already working for the next round of the Endurance Racing Legends championship which will stop at Le Mans, in what will be the most important and spectacular race of the season.
