This weekend took place one of Italy’s most famous rally in the 80 and 90, the Rally of Piancavallo.
The team has lined up the Porsche 997 R GT with the home rider, Andrea De Luna and his navigator Denis Pozzo bringing home an amazing 4th place.
Friulian driver despite having tested the car a few hours before the start of the event, was able to quickly adapt to the docile nature and temperament of the car from Stuttgart; giving in the race also crossbars and passages that home viewers hardly forget.
The result is sincere and highlights the qualities of a car that has found an excellent interpreter and that marks a great base for the future; in addition to the 4th place overall in the midst of the cars equipped with four-wheel drive, Autorlando gain the 1st position in class.
This is the comment of the driver De Luna: “It all started in 1986 along the Piancavallo climb, the last year of gr B. I was 7 years old and my mother with my brothers Francesco and Mario took us to see THE RALLY OF PIANCAVALLO. The best memory of that day is the music that cars driven by real drivers emitted through all the valleys and rumbled for minutes or maybe hours. About a month ago, I wondered: driving? With what? That result to bet? After some hesitation, the answer came to me from the memory of this night of ’86. I want to give the best ENTERTAINMENT possible for the public, for friends and for those who will arrive by chance on the way. The choice of car and the team have come consequently. The rest is actuality but what hope remains at all is the memory of this dream car that screaming, drifting and autograph indelibly all corners of our valleys. The greatest joy is knowing that we did entertain everyone and see so many waiting in the special stages. THANK YOU ALL you have made me the best gift, I hope to leave the same memory I have of that Piancavallo ’86. Thanks to those who gave me all this ”
