FOR THE PORSCHE 934 AUTORLANDO SPORT, OF FRATTI CABIANCA PODIUM WITH THRILL.
In a wonderful weekend of sun, the crew Maurizio Fratti – Andrea Cabianca take the second place, despite a scary carom on the pit straight, and on loss of 30 seconds, caused by contact, to say the least unfair, by a Lola T286.
The weekend started well, already from the Saturday free practice with a best time of 1,48,6, more than a second in front the second in class. Few set up adjustments and the car take part to qualifying 1, place first with Andrea Cabianca, that takes of a second from his free practice time making 1,47,5 that secure a pole position in Qualifying 1, while in Qualifying 2, traffic does not allow Maurizio Fratti to go beyond the fifth position.
During the race, after the start, Andrea Cabianca alternates command with the Bouriez Ferrari BB Le Mans, with the best race time in 1,47,1; Andrea, come in pit lane for the driver change in first position, giving the seat to Maurizio that, after the driver changes come back in track in second position; and, a few laps from the end, is involved in the spectacular accident, already described, but held their nerve, and restarts holding the position until the finish line, obtaining 18 points for the classification
To report, a parterre of competitors worthy of all respect, that used cars such as the Porsche 935, Ferrari 512 BB Le Mans, BMW M1 Procar.
