Good performance for the Autorlando Sport team at the Paul Ricard circuit in the second round of the Porsche Sports Cup Suisse.
Good sensations since Friday’s free practice for the Bergamo driver Paolo Locatelli, who immediately sets excellent times, fighting for the first position.
Saturday opens with the Endurance qualification, which sees Fabio Babini engaged. With a good lap, without taking too many risks, the Autorlando team takes first place in the category. In the Sprint qualification Locatelli earns second place 8 tenths from the first.
The Sprint race started well for Locatelli, who managed to set an excellent pace right from the start, but in the end he had to settle for second place overall and in the category.
After the excellent qualifying, the Autorlando team was aiming for victory in the Endurance race. Everything seemed to be going well, when a puncture resulting in a pit stop for the tire change caused the Porsche Cayman GT4 RS of the Bergamo team to lose a lot of ground. Upon returning to the track Babini imposes a frenzied pace that leads him to a great recovery, but not enough to close the gap with the first and therefore forced to close in second place in the category.
Overall a positive weekend for the team, aware that they have what it takes to stay ahead, but the bitterness for the Endurance race remains. So the desire for revenge rises, and what better opportunity to do so in the next round of the championship at the Franciacorta racetrack, home race for the driver Paolo Locatelli and for the Autorlando Sport team.
