Press release 04/2018 05.04.2018

The weekend of April 8 sees the green light for the GT4 European Series on the circuit of Zolder, Belgium; the first round of the championship after the official tests on the same Flemish circuit at the beginning of March.

Autorlando-sport present itself at the starting line for the third consecutive year after 2016 which saw the debut of the Porsche 911 GT4, unique in the international scene, on the circuits throughout Europe and able to take the third step of the podium with the couple Giuseppe Ghezzi and Alessandro Giovanelli in the AM category, remaining in contention until the last race for the class title.

To be framed the 2017 season, where efforts have doubled with the second 911 GT4 entrusted to Dario Cerati and Maurizio Fondi with the confirmation of Ghezzi supported by Manuele Mengozzi and on two occasions again by Giovanelli: AM Pilots title for Ghezzi, Team AM title for Autorlando, second position AM for Mengozzi, 5 AM victories for the # 76 of Ghezzi, 4 for Mengozzi and one for Giovanelli, podiums for Cerati and Fondi.

And with those promises Autorlando-Sport cannot not confirm , for the 2018 season , the two 911 GT4 , the #76 with Giuseppe Ghezzi who return to a stable plan paired with Alessandro Giovanelli and the #75 confirmed to the couple Dario Cerati-Maurizio Fondi.

The GT4 series presents itself with the ranks even more aggressive, in full, with 47 cars at the start, with a season that will take the green light to Zolder and then move to Brands Hatch, England, in May, Misano Adriatico to June with the only night on the international scene and back in Belgium, this time on the legendary circuit of the Ardennes Spa-Francorchamps in July; after the summer break the grand finale all in September with Hungaroring, Budapest, Hungary and the last Round, the same of 2017, with the hope that it will be a good omen on the legendary Nurburgring in Germany.

And as usual a prestigious paddock for the series , created by SRO of Stephan Ratel, where the GT4 European Series will increasingly join more and more the Blancpain GT Sprint.

As proof of the validity of the new category that has sprung up on tiptoes in the world of sprint races, the Italian GT Championship will present again this year an Italian GT4 Championship title and consequently the growing commitment of the well-defended White-Blue 911 GT4 Team at international level also on “around” circuits for Italy.
All that remains is to wait a few days since the debut of the national series will be on the Imola circuit on 29 April.

STAY TUNED!!!
