The third round of the Italian Rally Championship takes place on the Island of Elba for the 53rd edition with Autorlando-sport at the start with the FIA approved Porsche 997 R-GT driven by Maurizio Fratti and expertly navigated by Alessandro Verna.
6 Special Stages were scheduled, covering the entire island from east to west from the start of Portoferraio, the nerve center for assistance and post-stage reorganization.
Excellent first stage for the Fratti-Verna couple who closed the evening of the first day of competition 26th overall, 1st in Class, 1st in Group after the first three special stages around Cavo, Rio Marina, Porto Azzurro, Capoliveri and back to Portoferraio.
In the second stage, on Saturday morning, a long transfer to reach the area of Campo nell’Elba, Marciana Marina and Marciana for the last three stages but after the PS4 a problem with the electrical system silences the car and forces the crew to retire sadly .
Leaving aside the bitterness for the retirement, all that remains is to think of a new appointment and a new challenge for Autorlando-sport and its drivers scheduled for the weekend of 21-24 of October at SPA for the European GT4 Championship.
