The first one was good, the second one was amazing!!! The 22nd edition of the Montecarlo Storico Rally concluded in the evening saw this year as a participant, but above all as a protagonist, the Stancheris crew composed by father Amilcare and his son Davide on board the 911 SC “Vezza” by Autorlando-Sport.
After the official debut of the team and the riders at the Monegasque event in 2018, this year the whole team was called to reconfirm the excellent work done, looking for a placement that went beyond the 31th class place and so it was because the classification speaks of a resounding 23rd class place on over 160 cars registered of which “only” 146 arrived at the finish line.
Compared to the previous year the preparation of the race was improved and the car was tested in an even more meticulous way to obtain a result that the riders hoped from the beginning and in which together with the team they never stopped believing. This year there were no further difficulties due to the heavy snowfall that affected the French area that forced the lowering of the average in some special and even the cancellation of 4 trials, the number of 4,5,6 and 9 between Sunday and Monday.
The 316 participants, the 2500km to do in 6 days, the impervious mountain passes, the snow, the ice, the opponents, and the strict time controls to be respected during the transfers did not frighten Davide and Amilcare who demonstrated during the various have now become in tune with the event by gathering extraordinary results in the special tests, classifying very often within the top50 reaching even 4i class in the special n°2.
The preparation and commitment pay and the cultured result can only be a confirmation of what teams and drivers can do when there is collaboration, understanding, determination and mutual respect. First of all thanks to Davide and Amilcare, Adriano and Ennio, who once again brought the team Autorlando-Sport to the top, been busy for years on the biggest European Motorsport stages, starting this 2019 which will be full of surprises another time in the best of ways.
