The debut in the Super Cup 2018 of Alessandro Nervi driving the Porsche of the Autorlando-Sport was positive but not without twists. On the Adria International Raceway this weekend the driver from Bergamo debuted in the “Supercars Series” trophy inside the “GT-1” category on the “Supercup Division 1” into the format created by Giordano Giovannini.
On Saturday there were two rounds of free practice, which became four after the cancellation of the Prototype Italian Championship Stage, where Alessandro re-gained confidence with the track and the car, turning consistently and showing improvement in those points that until now they had been little indigestible to him.
In qualifying at 16:30 on Saturday under a hot heat, the temometer scored 33 ° C, Alexander wins a 5th overall position, 3rd of his division but aware to have potential and gap to do well in the race.
First Race takes place on Sunday morning and is full of twists with three safety cars moments. Unfortunately, due to a misjudgment in turn two around the middle of the race, the Porsche bumps against the Chevrolet V8 driven by R. Del Castello breaking a radiator. Race ended prematurely and comeback postponed for Race 2.
Race 2 instead brings a lot of satisfaction to the Autorlando-Sport team and Alessandro Nervi who win a second place in class and an absolute 4th after a battle with the Chevrolet V8. Overtaking took around the middle of the 25’ total minutes of Race, driver and team conquered a second place in the class taking home the first points.
We are pleased to announce that Autorlando-Sport has signed an agreement for the track assistance of the 997 CUP led by Max Pigoli, well-known in the GT scene, which has shown in both races grit and experience that earned him two absolute victories in the GT2 category.
Next round of the trophy will be on the Misano circuit, a circuit favorable to the Stuttgart car, on May 27th at the weekend FIA-TRUCK Week-end.
