Better than that was not possible for the Bergamasco crew that returns from the English trip on the Brands Hatch circuit with a very good result. The weekend promised well and the crews of the team Ghezzi-Giovanelli (# 76) and Cerati-Fondi (# 75) have been able to make the most of the two English days.
The free practice takes place without problems under a beautiful sun, qualifying in the saturday evening sees in the first session Ghezzi that take the 4th place and Cerati a 9th while in Q2 things improve with Giovanelli who takes a 3rd place in class and funds that closes 10°.
Race 1 on Sunday starts at 10:15 with the first laps characterized by the entry of the safety car for the many accidents. Good work for the two car that keep away from trouble and gain positions with overtaking and also taking advantage of various accidents. Before the mandatory pit window for the change of driver safety returns into the track, Ghezzi come into pit immediately and the undercut allows Giovanelli to gain the first position of class, position that will keep until the end of the race, ended early due to a bad accident to a McLaren. A similar strategy for the Cerati-Fondi, car that finishes 6th class at the end of the race, taking home eight precious points.
