A long but exciting weekend has just ended in Le Mans, France, where we had the honour of being among the participants in the tenth edition of the “LE MANS CLASSIC”, one of the most prestigious competition in the world, on one of the world’s most prestigious circuit.
Our team wanted to “send on an expedition” its most experienced drivers, namely Bravetti, Cerati and Fratti, who managed to do honour to the name of Autorlando even in such a popular and competitive event, wich in this edition alone managed to bring together some 200’000 motoring fans from all over the world.
Bravetti and Cerati had the chance to race in the Porsche Classic Race, in cars numbers 62 and 41 respectively, and managed to set competitive times and found a good feeling with our cars right from the start.
Fratti, on the other hand, had the honour of racing in the Endurance Racing Legend, on board of the great Porsche 996 GT3-RS, and managed to place in the top half of the ranking.
Below are the comments an the emotions of our drivers:
Bravetti:” So when Rossella Redolfi offered me a group 4 Porsche from 1976 to take part in the Porsche Classic Race at Le Mans I couldn’t believe my ears. After 25 years of racing on the track, strictly only with Porsches, I no longer thought I would have the opportunity to race in the absolute temple of speed, a 13 km track that represents the history of motorsport. In free practice I was very cautious and took my measurements, not knowing both the SC 3.0 group 4 and the track. In qualifying, which took place at 21.30 on Friday, I gained confidence, then the race went very well, the 911 SC was very sincere, great support in curves, the lack of ABS did not cause me any problems, the fifth gear ratio was perfect, I fought the whole time with two RSRs from 1973 and 1974, arriving 20th out of 70 participating cars, a positive baptism that preludes participation in the 2024 edition! Thank you Team Orlando!”
Cerati:” Great experience to do at least once in a lifetime and I have already done two, there will be no two without three, I am ready for 2024. The Porsche 911 SC from Autorlando sport is simply fantastic, and specifically my car called RICARD was the most photographed.”
Fratti:” Racing against the Ferrari 430 is always stimulating and I have to say that our car performed very well, even if you have to admit that racing against a younger car is always an unequal challenge…”
